Paid Alzheimer’s Disease & Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) Study
About this Study:
In this research study, you will be asked to answer questions and complete activities about different things you and the patient you care for do associated with Mild Alzheimer’s disease, and about different locations where you spend your time. All activities will occur through a mobile app.
Answer responses may be in the form of text, audio, picture or video, and each question will specify the desired format. You will be able to complete the activities by yourself and/or with the patient, though for some activities, it may be helpful to have a partner (spouse, caregiver, close friend) in assisting taking video recordings of you.
The time commitment to complete all tasks is approximately 10-15 minutes a day, for 3 weeks. The research team will reach out and confirm to you when study activities should be completed.
The app should be simple and user-friendly for anyone comfortable using a smartphone or tablet. Questions we will ask will over the three weeks will cover topics such as:
General experiences with Mild AD (emotions that are felt, what led to diagnosis, etc.)
Medication/symptom management (where are medications kept, how do you help the patient manage Mild AD and other conditions, how do you help the patient manage Mild AD symptoms, etc.)
Doctor Interactions (who is managing the patient’s Mild AD, how do you feel about seeing a specialist vs. a PCP, who diagnosed the patient’s Mild AD, etc.)
